Sadie doesn’t have time for finding love. She’s too busy as PA for famous artist Damian Banks. When she’s not arranging exhibitions, she’s organising his dry cleaning or dumping his never ending stream of girlfriends.

But when she strikes up an unusual friendship with her desk share buddy, she finds a confidante and a new potential love interest. Problem is, they’ve never actually met…

With Christmas just around the corner, can Sadie put herself first for a change and find what she’s been looking for all along?

After reading many heavy books, I was absolutely in need of a cute read. Stuck on you definitely delivered on its promise of exactly that !

I loved this book from page 1 till the end. Sadie is a very likeable character, and Damian is neither too cliché, nor too unconventionnal, which made reading about them quite enjoyable. Then we have Adam, the mysterious guy who exchanges Post-it notes with Sadie, whom he is sharing a desk with. Him and Sadie share a great bond, and it’s an aspect of the story I liked reading. I enjoyed seeing those little moments of Sadie’s day when she sees those notes that brighten her day. It’s like her own little secret garden at work, and reading about this made me all fuzzy !

Mostly, what I liked about this book is the plot. In this type of book, it’s very important to set the right pace, and keep the reader entertained. Portia MacIntosh managed to do that. You don’t read Christmas romances for the adventures they go in, but to see a beautiful relationship blossom slowly. And we get it here ! The way Damian and Sadie interact is so cute, and seeing them both work and relax together was somehow soothing. I could have read on forever.

Actually, that’s the only flaw of the book. I wanted more. I wanted to read more about Sadie, Adam and Damian, the places they go to, etc. Making the book longer would also have done a favor to the plot, as I thought that Damian’s character development is REALLY fast. He goes from 0% to a 100% in a blur, and I could have enjoyed reading more about his development, the way his mind works, etc.

Overall, that was such a cute and quick read ! It’s perfect if you want to feel all fluffly and cozy while snuggling under a blanket. Even in summer !

Thanks for reading !
See you soon,
Love,
Jade ❤
