Wrap up

March Wrap-up

Hi guys. I know it’s mid-april and I’m doing a wrap-up only now, but I’ve been busy! I moved in with my BF in March, so it took a loooot of time to settle in, and we still don’t have all our furniture. We still need to buy some stuff hehe. When I wasn’t unpacking, etc, I didn’t really feel like being in front of a screen, so I spent a lot of time reading, coloring, and walking around. Meaning this month, there are a lot of books I managed to read! 11 books in total. Most are mangas because I’m now more or less in charge of those at work, but it counts! Here’s what I read in March :

What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim? #1| Kim Myeongmi | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m a big fan of K-Mangas, and I love this Webtoon style. I don’t read a lot of romance, but when I do, I want it to be as grat as this!

Undead Unluck #1| Yoshifumi Tozuka | ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really liked this new manga where the two opposite characters need to work together to achieve their goals. It was a bit too action packed for me from time to time, but a great read anyway.

Blissful Land #1 | Ichimon Izumi | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That was one relaxing read! I loved the story of this young healer living in the mountain with his family who sees his life change when a young woman arrives in the village. His fiancee no less! It was very heartwarming, and brought me a real sense of peace. This is a new discovery that I keep recommending at work!

Until the last of me | Sylvain Neuvel | ⭐⭐⭐ | My review

This is the sequel to A History of what comes next, which I found interesting. This book was more fast paced than the previous one, but it was mayble a little too much so, as I found myself having a hard time to follow sometimes. Still, the character growth was great, and I had a nice time reading.

Kimi No Knife #1 | Yua Kotegawa | ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really like the concept of this manga. It was interesting to see the different reactions of the two main characters. I will gladly read the rest of the series, even if it’s probably not one that will stick with me forever.

Kiruru Kill Me #1 | Yasuhiro Kano | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is such a fun read! I loved of that CEO put a reward for his own murder only to seduce Kiruru. Sure it’s super messed up and he’s got quite a mental issue, but it was hilarious to read, and I loved the drawing of the characters.

Mashle #1 | Hajime Komoto | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another fun one! This parody between One punch Man and Harry Potter is really excellent! I loved every bit of it, and I can’t wait to have time to read the other ones.

Winterhouse | Ben Guterson | ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I really liked the drawings here. It truly gave life to the story, which I also liked since Elizabeth is an engaging main character. I liked her interactions with everyone in the hotel, and I didn’t really expect the ending. I thought the author really pushed it with the word plays trying to show how talented he is with words. Otherwise, it was an entertaining read!

The Lives of Diamond Bessie | Jody Hadlock | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I absolutely couldn’t stop reading this. I hadn’t expected the supernatural aspect of the plot, but it made the book even better!! I love the stories inspired by real people, especially women that lived between the 18th and 20th century and who lived their lives standing up to others. Not sure which trope it is, but I’m here for it, and this book delivered. 100% would recommend it. The last part was a little too long and a bit boring, but otherwise, I loved everything about the story.

The Quintessential Quintuplets #1 | Negi Haruba | ⭐⭐⭐

I tried to see what the hype was around this, but I couldn’t get it. It felt super weird to read, and even though it was agreable, I couldn’t get the weirdness out of my brain. I guess it’s just not for me.

The calling of Morrigan Crow | Jessica Townsend | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I enjoyed the evolution of Morrigan and her class. It was truly magical as always, and I read it super fast, as is always the case for such books (Amari anyone?) A great sequel, as good, if not better than the first book! Incredible!

That’s it for today! Thanks for reading me, especially with such a long list!
See you soon,
Love,
Jade ❤

  1. Nooo I actually haven’t bought any! I don’t think I paid for any of the books I read this month haha
They’re all borrowed from work, from the library or ARC from Netgalley :p But we have almost every furniture now! Only one missing in the living room 🙂
